On the 29th June, the medical centre sent  a text message to notify patients of the potential risk of closure of the walk in service currently provided by the Pinn Medical Centre.

This was done with the sole intention of raising awareness and informing patients of the potential closure which would significantly affect direct services to patients. Whilst our intentions were genuinely based on the impact of any closure to patients, it has been brought to our attention that this has caused a few patients to complain about the manner in which this was effected and the fact that text messages were used to impart the message.

We do sincerely apologise for any upset caused and will ensure in future that we will review the processes that we use to send messages to patients which are not directly and overtly related to patients direct healthcare needs.
