THE PINN MEDICAL CENTRE SERVICES DURING COVID CRISIS
Since the 1st of July 2021 the Pinn Medical Centre only provides GP Access Centre services (GPAC). We will now be closed to walk in patients other than acutely ill patients who cannot safely be redirected.
We continue to remain available to our own patients for initial telephone consultations and booked face to face consultations where necessary.
Unregistered harrow patients will now need to contact their own surgery to be booked in to a GPAC appointment having been clinically triaged prior to their appointment.
To know what to expect from the GPAC service please see our leaflet.
Patients with Covid symptoms or requiring any information on Covid should consult the government website GOV.UK Patients who feel they cannot manage their symptoms safely at home should contact 111 on line or by telephone who are able to arrange a consultation if required. If unable to get through then call the surgery to arrange a telephone consultation with a clinician. The clinician will decide whether you need to be seen and will give instructions on how this can be done with the necessary safety precautions .This may require you to attend a local Covid hub.
NON COVID SYMPTOMS
Non Covid medical conditions that cannot wait please call the surgery for a telephone consultation with a clinician who will make arrangements for you to be seen if necessary.
Requesting routine appointments should be postponed if possible for the next few weeks online appointments are currently not available
WALK IN APPOINTMENTS
We are now a GP Access Centre, therefore we will not see walk-in patients except acutely ill patients who cannot be redirected safely to other services. In that case your mobile phone number will be taken at reception and you will be asked to wait outside the building until you have had a telephone consultation with the clinician
These should be only done when essential and requests for home visits will also have a telephone consultation prior to the visit
At present, only immunisations for under 2 year olds will continue as delaying these can pose its own health risks
BLOOD TESTS/INVESTIGATIONS/ DRESSINGS/ OTHER INJECTIONS
These are to be kept to a minimum so only book these if you have been told by a clinician that they cannot be postponed
Please request repeat prescriptions electronically via the NHS App or by email on email@example.com - information about this has already been texted to you and is available on the website. Prescription requests can be taken by telephone only if you are unable to use other means as it uses up phone lines. A box is available outside the surgery front door to leave paper prescription requests.
We thank all our patients for their understanding and cooperation in using the services responsibly.
We will update this information if there are any major changes to our services
